Jay Like (not his real name) his real name is Jeremy Lycke. It's a pain in the ass to pronounce, everyone calls him Jay. He has been an author since he was 19 years old. It was an age before Kindle, SSD cards and Play Stations. Considered wild and crazy to this day. He is hard drinking, fist fighting, chain smoking and covered in scars. He still rides fast motorcycles and has a race car for daily driving. You want to hear a good story you hear from someone who lives on the razors edge, not a librarian.
Scars tell a lot about a person. The more scars you have the more you walked on the razors edge. You can’t have one without the other and at the end of the day that’s the proof. He never considered being an author, but was so notorious that at even 19 a hundred people he had never met walked over to him shook their heads and said please write books, please. This stuff doesn’t happen to normal people. He’s 49 years old as of 7/21/2021 and lives full time on his yacht. He is a single parent and raises his 15-year old son, Anthony, to the best of his abilities while owning a restaurant and several construction companies. He made his first million at 33 years old. He wears suits sometimes and other times torn cutoffs, and spear fishes for his dinner in shark infested waters for sport. Most of his friends are dead because they weren’t lucky enough to just get a another scar.
Their deaths were like battle and they were always violent. This writing is not for everyone. He’s not here to coddle your emotions or your feelings. Being politically correct is not in his vocabulary. It is called as it is seen and for face value. You will, however, excite your own emotions as you read this. He is simply going to take you into a time machine using the magic of words back in time and bring you to a wildly passionate place filled with love, hate, fear, death, success and conquest, but you will be in the safety of resting on the pillows of your bed. A place through his words that you can taste with your eyes.
His mother was an incredibly gifted psychic medium, he never believed in this shit and was the biggest skeptic imaginable until through her it blew up all around him. Hard not to believe in spirits when they are throwing vases at you. Like having Big Foot peacefully walk up to your campfire, sit down and have dinner with you there is no longer any possible way to deny its reality. It scares the shit out of him, but the apple fell from the tree and it came from the lineage of his mom giving him this blessing/curse and lives with it to this day just to keep it at bay.
When you have an overall understanding/acceptance of life and death and in your heart you try to choose death, but the gods forsake you and keep you here to watch all of your friends and loved ones die without letting you pass along into the night you get a feeling of both resentment and love for the moments that still take your breath away. Life is far more complicated and galactically interesting and goes farther back then is written in any book. It is so technical and interwoven with time and space that the human brain does not have the ability to even begin to understand it. Like trying to get a grasshopper to understand trigonometry. Understand this interesting things happen to interesting people being psychic, just makes it utterly chilling and gives you more tools to survive.
He has hundreds of short stories, but they are not stories they are written record of what happened. Just like you find a stone tablet of an event so important that modern man took the time to use a chisel so it would last forever and future people knew what happened. They had stone he has this keyboard. Here are the tales........
The Surgeon's wife, The inspiration? Well it happened like this, exactly.
At 18 I was already a rugged and notorious, local criminal. I made state newspapers. Then I fell in love with an older woman more than twice my age. She was a force of nature I had been staring, at since I was 13. As unattainable as a glossy Cover-Girl on a magazine rack, However she was all too real to me, and my dangerous friends. The very one that had watched me grow up. Of course, as luck would have it, this force of nature was my best friend's mom. As in nature, all beautiful things have names, she was no exception, her name was Mrs. Rodeo, then Carol. The seduction was epic, the sex nuclear, the relationship solid, the affair torrid, wild, secret, and above all...... absolutely forbidden.
Carol was the elegant sophisticated, trophy wife, of a high profile Macho, Columbian Surgeon. She had it all. Classy stable, and respected by our community, she was the woman men always cross rooms for. She was a rock-solid 10, and more, she was a mother and wife of unbreakable character, I dated one of her daughters, and was best friends with the other 2, I was considered part of the family. But only as long as nobody knew we were together, try keeping that a secret for 2 years,,,, Now, throw in the sex, and romance. It was both soul-ripping and spiritually-altering. A connection, so perfectly improbable, it had to make one believe in the existence of god. Simply because only he could make something so savagely beautiful. Now, try hiding that over a family dinner, everyone seated around you, electricity arcing invisibly, and visibly between you two.
100 people I never met, walked up to me, shook my hand, and begged me to write a book, This affair made stores close early, and bars and meeting houses fill up, it spawned hope, hatred, wonder, awe, and disbelief. Cancel your appointment, pour yourself a drink, you're going to be with me for a while. Kindle is magic, I can come to you, and I'll start from the beginning because I am bringing you there, and I can let you taste this experience, This is a good one
The Surgeon's Wife was based on my own experiences. Took me 5 years to write. It's explicit, raw and salacious because that's what we were.
A novel Based on Love and intolerable, desire. So strong you stop at nothing to have it, but secretly, hide it from the destruction of others.
